What changed
The OCC published revised payment stablecoin reporting forms on October 21, 2026, and requested further public comment. The OCC identifies January 25, 2027 as the first weekly report date and March 31, 2027 as the first quarterly report date. OMB must approve the information collection before implementation.
Who it affects
- Permitted payment stablecoin issuers and registered foreign issuers under OCC supervision would submit the reports.
What is still open
- OMB has not approved the proposed information collection.
- The comment deadline depends on publication in the Federal Register.
What it means for an advisor
- Ask issuers how they will prepare the reports and reconcile reserve information.
