Why Ketju rejected Ondo OUSG

Memo v2Published by Ketju Research

A registry memo, published verbatim and versioned. Superseded versions are recorded, never edited away. A rejection is a judgment for Ketju's client base and thesis, not a universal safety claim. Not investment, legal, tax, or compliance advice.

The memo

v2 SUPERSEDES v1, and it is a correction: v1 called OUSG "generally more accessible at retail size" and the practical entry point for a tokenised-income mandate. That was WRONG. Resolved 2026-08-01: OUSG requires investors to meet BOTH accredited-investor AND qualified-purchaser standards — the headline $5k instant mint/redeem rail sits behind the same QP verification as everything else in this class. The crypto-native distribution is real; the eligibility gate is identical. Rejected on access. The 24/7/365 instant mint/redeem architecture remains the best in class and is exactly what we would want if a retail or accredited-only class ever ships — which makes Ondo the first name to re-check.
