Aave proposes USDe and Monad rate changes; growth rationale requires review

ProposedConfirmed evidence

Affects: Aave v3 (protocol)

What happened

LlamaRisk proposed USDe curve changes across five Aave v3 deployments and a 5% Slope1 for five Monad stablecoins, incorporating TokenLogic's Monad proposal.

What changed

The proposed USDe base rate becomes 6.30%; Slope1 becomes 0.25% on Core and Avalanche and 1% on Plasma, Monad and Mantle. Monad USDC, USDT0, GHO, mUSD and AUSD would move to 5% Slope1.

What did not change

These records do not prove execution. Optimal utilization and Slope2 remain unchanged under the proposals, and the Ethereum GHO monitor alert is not explained by this event.

Confirmed

  • The risk-steward notice describes implementation as a next step.
  • TokenLogic explicitly supports the Monad change using supply growth and competitive yield arguments.
  • The aave-v3 memo contains a review criterion concerning public growth or competitiveness justification of risk parameters.

Still open

  • Transaction receipts and effective on-chain parameters remain unverified.
  • The TokenLogic text uses inconsistent current USDC/USDT0 Slope1 baselines; final payload values require reconciliation.
  • An editor must determine whether the service-provider governance rationale meets the written criterion conclusively.

What it means for an advisor

  • Review the aave-v3 growth-driven risk-parameter criterion now; do not dismiss it because the proposal concerns a satellite deployment.
  • Recalculate affected borrowing and supply economics only after verifying execution and final parameters.
